BOX4

BOX4 enables you to repackage your video files. It provides support for modern-day codecs and it is capable of processing videos quite fast. The software can take videos in various formats and store them in MKV or MP4 format. Furthermore, BOX4 can copy or encode audio and subtitle streams of your choice and it lets you make other fine tweaks along the way.

The application comes in a small package and it can be installed in just a few seconds. You can use it on Windows 7 or any later edition, but it only works on 64-bit operating systems. The hardware requirements are modest and there is no need to install any supplementary tools or codecs.

You can import more than one video file and process them in a single run, with different settings. Imported videos are displayed in a list, along with options for selecting an output format and audio and subtitle tracks. If you are satisfied with your settings, you only need to click a Start button and BOX4 will start processing your videos, one by one, and it will save them over the originals.

The software lets you select different audio codecs and bitrates for each output format. Alternatively, you can define a profile for each format. This way, when you select an output format, the application will make your preferred audio settings automatically.

Re-encoding videos to modern formats and codecs can take less than a minute when using BOX4.
